Our Story
In 1990, Darryl Chambers started his apprenticeship as a Cabinet Maker and learnt the trade while working at Drake Leisure manufacturing pool and snooker tables in Christchurch for 18 years. After noticing a gap in the market, Darryl launched On Cue part time in 2005 soley as a Hire and Lease business. In 2008 he moved on from Drake Leisure and started his own full time venture in the family garage which he quickly out grew and moved into his own factory manufacturing tables in 2008.
Fast forward to today and On Cue is very proud to be the only company operating in the South Island of New Zealand that manufactures pool and snooker tables. We carry the New Zealand Made trademark to confirm our integrity and position in New Zealand made craftsmanship.
On Cue specialises in the retail, manufacture, repair, refurbish and distribution of quality pool and snooker tables made by our trade qualified craftsman based in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Each table ordered is hand crafted with quality timbers and componentry chosen by you to suit your space and engineered for precision playing. Our tables appear in many homes, bars, offices, retirement villages and clubs throughout New Zealand.
The On Cue Tournament tables are regularly played on by some of New Zealand’s top pool players in many tournaments throughout the year.
The On Cue Team
As an experienced tradesman of 30 years, Darryl leads a team of three full-time qualified furniture, cabinetry and upholstery professionals. Joined by two sales and administration staff, the On Cue team is equipped to provide a wide range of specialist pool table retail, manufacturing and repair services.
We offer a full range of pool, snooker and billiard table supplies and services.
